Connected Teams Retreats

Creating space to reconnect and rebalance as a team

How do you create and maintain a connected, cohesive team in today’s increasingly virtual world?

If the Covid-19 pandemic taught us anything, it’s that while we can work independently, sometimes we need to come together to collaborate, create and connect more effectively.

With many organisations now opting for a hybrid model of working, Xintara Business Retreats are designed to help teams reconnect, build strong working relationships and improve team and individual wellbeing.

In a comfortable, private and friendly environment at one of our luxury retreat locations in the UK or across Europe, we help your teams become more self-aware so they can become better communicators and create strong, authentic connections with their colleagues.

Using individual and group activities to quickly share and embed knowledge, as well as developing practical well-being toolkits, we help your teams define their purpose and develop critical team-based problem-solving skills. There is also plenty of time for rest and relaxation, creating the necessary space to strengthen team bonds and mutual understanding.

The support continues when you return home, with up to five follow-on 121 coaching and Action Learning sessions to help your team fully embed their learnings into their lives and their work.

What does it involve?

Traditional team-building activities can often be too dry or too casual. Our Connected Teams retreats are just the right mix of team activities, personal reflection and wellbeing, and time out to relax and reconnect with each other in a choice of inspiring locations.

By changing the context, we help to change the mindset and create, develop and enhance the vital bonds within your team.

The Connected Teams retreat is structured around morning and afternoon workshops and activities on a carefully curated range of wellness topics.

Morning workshops will focus on building and strengthening the bonds within your team. They include:

  • Understanding personality preferences and motivations: Participants learn to understand how they interact with other and how this can be improved to ensure greater communication and understanding.
  • Stepping out of the drama triangle: Learn how to reduce destructive conflict and enable functional conflict to drive performance.
  • 121 coaching sessions: Focus on individual growth and development both during and after the retreat is key to embedding learning and improving performance.
  • Action Learning team coaching: Action Learning is a powerful management tool that builds leadership skills, encourages team cohesion and embeds cultural change. It uses insightful questioning and active listening to explore problems and identify actions.
  • Team psychological safety: Understand the key features of functional and cohesive teams that feel valued and empowered to take appropriate risks and drive business performance.

Afternoon workshops will focus on individual mental and physical wellbeing. These will include:

  • Building a wellbeing toolkit: Getting the balance right in your life across all the different aspects of wellbeing. What are the pillars of positive wellbeing?
  • Physical wellbeing activities: Choices include yoga, surfing, body boarding, paragliding, or simply going for an invigorating walk.
  • Mental wellbeing and relaxation: This includes Yoga Nidra meditation classes, as well as a range of massages, such as Swedish and Thai Yoga massage, and tips for improving sleep.
  • Team activities: These include coastal hiking, joint cooking sessions, and painting workshops.

If this retreat doesn’t quite meet your business’s needs then get in touch and we will co-create something with you.
