Our UK location is the beautiful Wasing Estate in Berkshire. The estate has been in the same family for seven generations and comprises a number of buildings as well as a working farm and fishing lakes.
Wasing is one of the most diverse rural estates in England, yet is still one of Berkshire’s best kept secrets. It is centrally located with easy access to the M4 and M3.
The venue is full of sophistication and elegance. The lovingly restored farm buidlings sit alongside the 15th century Parish Church and include the majestic grade II listed Castle Barn, a Granary sat proudly on its staddle stones and a fairy tale Dovecote.
Great care is taken to preserve and enhance the rural charm of the sustainably managed extensive lakes and the meandering rivers at Wasing, set in the picturesque Kennet Valley. With an abundance of wildlife including Bitterns, Egrets, Hobbies, Swans and numerous Kingfishers on every lake, these tranquil settings offer great quality fishing, with record sized carp.
Beautifully restored in a traditional Portuguese style, Quinta da Matalva has been comfortably furnished and decorated. Connected by a covered colonnade, both Matalva house and Matalva cottage are also spacious and airy, allowing plenty of room for everyone to relax but also come together.
Both houses feel private and have a large terrace, perfect for outside dining, with unrestricted views of the forest, Monserrate palace and the sea in the distance.
